Spring Reading January 10, 2010

It’s Sunday Morning (still) and I’m putting in a little bit of time over coffee to work on the CoffeeCents program for the spring.  One of the underlying ideas behind CoffeeCents is that there’s only so much time we’re going to spend learning / working on our fiscal fitness.  It’s not quite 3 times a week for 20 minutes to get you into the best shape of your life, but rather 4 times a month for 30 minutes to map out where the knowledge is.

One of the guides we’re high on at Coffeecents is found at TransparentInvesting.  Another guide we’ll be using is an investing book written…well, written before computers were commonplace, so a very long time ago, Graham’s Intelligent Investor.

Trent @ TheSimpleDollar has a long, long 21 post review of this seminal text.  Well worth a read.  Our challenge: Start the year and read 1 post a week.  In May, you’ll have read, and understood, the best investment book written for the lay investor.
