Interesting! What happened to 55-59 year olds?
I would think the 50-54 age group dip might be because these people were in their formative years in the late 70′s and early 80′s. This was a time of high inflation and a great deal of economic problems and a market crash in the late 80′s. Therefore I would think this demographic group would be more cautious about acquiring debt.
sorry, I meant the 55-59 age group. Very interesting drop. Would like to hear other opinions.
